Abstract: Estudiaremos el comportamiento, cuando $\varepsilon\rightarrow0,$ de ciertas soluciones del problema \[ (\wp_{\varepsilon})\qquad\left\{ \begin{array} [c]{ll}% -\varepsilon^{2}\Delta u+u=|u|^{p-2}u & \text{in }\Omega,\\ u=0 & \text{on }\partial\Omega, \end{array} \right.

Abstract: Let $\Gamma$ be a simply connected unbounded $C^{2}-$surface in $\mathbb{R}% ^{n}$ of the dimension $n-1$ such that $\Gamma$ divides $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ on two domains $D^{\pm}.$ We consider the essential spectrum of Schrödinger operators on $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ with surface $\delta_{\Gamma}$-interactions which can be written formally of the form \begin{equation} {\normalsize -\Delta+W-}\alpha_{\Gamma}\delta_{\Gamma}\label{0}% \end{equation} where $-\Delta$ is the nonnegative Laplacian in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$, $W\in L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ is an electric potential, $\delta_{\Gamma}$ is the Dirac $\delta-$function with the support on the hypersurface $\Gamma ,\alpha_{\Gamma}\in L^{\infty}(\Gamma)$ is a coupling coefficient depending of the points of $\Gamma$. \ \ We realize the formal Schrödinger operator as an unbounded operator $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}$ generated by \begin{align*} A_{\Gamma}u & =\left\{ \begin{array} [c]{c}% \left( {\normalsize -\Delta+W}\right) u_{+}\text{ on \ }D_{+}\\ \left( {\normalsize -\Delta+W}\right) u_{-}\text{ on \ }D_{-}% \end{array} \right. ,\\ u & =(u_{+},u_{-})\in H^{2}(D_{+})\oplus H^{2}(D_{-}) \end{align*} and the Robin type transmission conditions on the hypersurface $\Gamma$ \[ \left[ u\right] _{\Gamma}=u_{\Gamma}^{+}-u_{\Gamma}^{-}=0,\left[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial\nu}\right] _{\Gamma}=\frac{\partial u_{\Gamma}% ^{+}}{\partial\nu}-\frac{\partial u_{\Gamma}^{-}}{\partial\nu}=-\alpha _{\Gamma}u_{\Gamma}=-\alpha_{\Gamma}u_{\Gamma}^{\pm} \] where $u_{\Gamma}^{\pm}$ are the limit values of the functions $u_{\pm}$ on $\Gamma$ from $D^{\pm}$, and $\frac{\partial u_{\Gamma}^{\pm}}{\partial\nu}$ are limits of the normal derivative to $\Gamma$ from $D^{\pm}.$ \ We study the essential spectrum $sp_{ess}\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}$ of the operator $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}$ that is the set of $\lambda\in\mathbb{C}$ such that $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}-\lambda I$ is not a Fredholm operator in $L^{2}% (\mathbb{R}^{n})$ as an unbounded operator with domain \[ \mathcal{D}_{\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}}=\left\{ u\in H^{2}(D_{+})\oplus H^{2}(D_{-}):\left[ u\right] _{\Gamma}=0,\left[ \frac{\partial u}% {\partial\nu}\right] _{\Gamma}=-\alpha_{\Gamma}u_{\Gamma}\right\} . \] For the operator $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}$ we define a family $Lim(\mathcal{A}% _{\Gamma})$ of limit operators $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}^{h}$ of $\mathcal{A}% _{\Gamma}$ depending on the behavior at infinity of the hypersurface $\Gamma,$ of the potential $W,$ and the coupling coefficient $\alpha_{\Gamma}.$ Our main aim is to prove the formula \begin{equation} sp_{ess}\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}=% %TCIMACRO{\dbigcup \limits_{\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}^{h}\in Lim(\mathcal{A}% %_{\Gamma})}}% %BeginExpansion {\displaystyle\bigcup\limits_{\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}^{h}\in Lim(\mathcal{A}% _{\Gamma})}} %EndExpansion sp\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma}^{h}.\label{1}% \end{equation} In many important in applications cases the operators $\mathcal{A}_{\Gamma }^{h}$ have enough simple forms and formula is an effective tool of the calculation of the essential spectra of the operators $\mathcal{A}% _{\Gamma}.$
