In this talk we will introduce a notion of strong geodesic extendibility in metric legth spaces and we will discuss some consequences derived from this property. For example, we will see that such property allows us to compute the Hausdorff distance between any two closed balls in a length space $X$ and therefore obtain a metric isometry between the space of closed balls $\Sigma(X)$ of $X$ and the product space $X\times \mathbb{R}_{\geq 0}$ endowed with a taxicab metric. Among other applications and examples we will provide an explicit isometry between the isometry group of $\Sigma(X)$ and the isometry group of $X$. This is a joint work with Waldemar Barrera and Didier Solis.
The aim of this talk is to give an overview on two different ways of furnishing a Lorentzian manifold with an asymptotic stucture: the conformal and causal boundaries. Originally introduced by R. Penrose, they share some features in common with the standard boundary of the classical hyperbolic models. We will also discuss some of their geometric implications and their extensive use in the theory of General Relativity.

Among those concepts that are meaningful in the study of both Kleinian groups and the iteration of functions, is the concept of Carathèodory convergence. This convergence, related to a sequence of open sets in the Riemann sphere, is known to be equivalent to the Hausdorff convergence of their compact complements. Thus, when considering a sequence of meromorphic functions, one naturally wonders under which conditions the Fatou components of the given elements in the sequence converge in the sense of Carathèodory to the Fatou components of the limit function. In this talk I will concentrate on the study of iteration of transcendental meromorphic functions and provide an overview of convergence results for certain types of Fatou components. Then, I will present our recent work that shows how parabolic basins can converge in the sense of Carathèodory to Baker domains. This is a joint work with Adrián Esparza-Amador (PUC Valparaíso, Chile).

A useful tool in the classic theory of Kleinian groups is the analysis of the conformal action of isometries of the hyperbolic space on the sphere. In Lorentzian geometry, we have a counterpart for this close relation usally called AdS/CFT correspondence. During this talk, we will present some results on the conformal dynamics of discrete subgroups of isometries of the anti-de Sitter space, that we call Lorentzian Kleinian Groups, acting on its conformal boundary, the Einstein's universe; making use of the graphic intuition induced by the classical case, hoping to show the relation between these two cases, Lorentzian and classical.

We will define the residual Julia set for an analytic function from the definition of Abikoff of Kleinian groups. We will state some results related with the residual Julia set and then we will give some examples.
